Bradford-based Mysti Valentine is the diva with a difference, the great pretender, more than a woman, the drag goddess of the North – and not what she seems…
Irregular (Arts) Jenny Wilson, has been performing as drag queen spoof or ‘faux queen’ Mysti Valentine in cabarets, theatres and festivals in the UK (and abroad) since 2007. Resident hostess 3 years running at Bradford Pride, she has a growing local following in lots of the places she’s performed – especially in Bradford, Hebden Bridge, Kendal and Leipzig (Germany!).

Originally created as a cabaret act, Mysti Valentine has evolved into an act versatile enough to bring fun to a family audience as well as a challenging late night crowd. She has performed on stages as diverse as The Royal Opera House (Jonny Woo’s drag ball) and a small cupboard in Leeds (InXclusion live art occupation), as well as appearing at festivals including Beat Herder Festival (annually since 2009), Kendal Mint Fest (2010), Magic Loungeabout (2012), Hebden Bridge Arts Festival (2012) and Saltaire Festival (2013).
